Meditations have been continual since January 2015 when I established There's A Pharmacist In The House. No longer able to straddle the line between "pill for every ill" madness and the pervasive lack of health in the U.S., I knew my days as a pharmacist that dispensed disease suppression instead of facilitating wellness and health were numbered. My integrity as a human and as a facilitator of health could no longer tolerate the dishonesty of extracting the wellness out of health.
While I was always certain of my conviction in being a progenitor of truth and facilitator of people creating their own wellness, I had no idea how I would bridge my ideas to practice or align concepts into tangible application.
And the subsequent three years would prove to be the most grueling, foreboding, and trying time of my life. Joblessness, homelessness, hopelessness pushed me to the lip of exiting life at my own hand. Surely there had been some celestial mistake and I had been confused for Job instead of (Efua) Joe.
Happily (and perhaps a bit miraculously) I didn't give up. And over time, many wayshowers started to be revealed, and everything seemed to have a deeper meaning and teach a lesson. I held on to my mother's guiding principle of acknowledging the God-force within to provide the light for the life journey. The challenges didn't disappear; but, they subsided. The challenges that did remain often were interpreted as lessons necessary to move forward.
"Then it happened. The Wayseer Manifesto (Garret John LoPorto) found its way to my door. when I opened the door, and revealed "Wayseers readily see social institutions for what they are- imaginary games. Wayseers comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable... Since Wayseers are the ones who keep contact with the original source of reality-they are able to disrupt societal conventions and even governments to realign humanity with The Way..."
"Wayseers reveal this divine truth by devoting themselves to the birth of some creative or disruptive act expressed through art or philosophy, innovations to shake up industry, revolutions for democracy, coups that topple hypocrisy, movements of solidarity, changes that leave a legacy, rebellions against policy, spirit infused technology, moments of clarity, things that challenge barbarity, watersheds of sincerity, momentous drives for charity."
"This is your calling, Wayseer. You've found your tribe. Welcome home."
