Q: What is the leading cause of death among Americans under 50?
Drug overdoses are now the leading cause of death in Americans under 50. Nothing that a little Narcan can't reverse though, right? But, what if Narcan doesn't work? The symptoms of a Fentanyl overdose happen quickly, and even the CDC admits that multiple doses of Narcan may be required following a Fentanyl overdose because of how potent it is in comparison to other opioids. And is "treating" a drug overdose with another drug really a treatment at all? Of course not. Why this surge in overdoses, then, the question still remains. Are we afraid to ask or are we afraid of the answer? Pharmacists-the drug experts, who's to blame? Is it enough to know drugs and how they work, but stand by and watch while a section of the nation's population dies off?" Of course not. But who's to blame?
