Really dig this Oprah November 2013 interview with Babyface. Oprah talks to Babyface about Toni Braxton not wanting to perform/record/sing anymore. He explains that with Toni's divorce (from Keri Lewis) and other concerns (didn't mention, but undoubtedly they included her health-lupus, and her youngest son's then autism) she wasn't loving performing-kinda just showing up, but her heart wasn't in it. She started feeling that perhaps she wasn't relevant anymore and that people/fans may not really care /support a new record. She was scared. Loved what Babyface had to say in response to Toni→
The call for holistic, astute health care consumers and providers could not be any stronger or louder than it is now. Why? Well, a persistent, though not new, drill of disconnect from facts, continues to whirl while it attempts to marginalize those who are ready to accept what has been withheld and suppressed for much too long.
Toni Braxton Says Her Son Has Been Cured of Autism
7-time Grammy-Award winning singer-songwriter Toni Braxton's announcement last year that her then 13 year old son, Diezel Ky Braxton-Lewis, was cured of autism (ASD), was met with criticism and frankly such unbelievable vitriol, that I had to immediately call upon Great Spirit, Buddha, God, and Allah simultaneously to center myself. Are these people serious? Yes, they were, for it seems that they have accepted via the drill I spoke of in paragraph 1, that autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is incurable-in fact not even a disease, but a "disorder spectrum," the difference as it relates to intervention remains unclear, though.
We must not forget that many of those who actually started noticing that their children, soon after receiving an immunization, manifested behavioral changes, often severe enough, to alter their intellectual and social wellness were deemed to be overzealous, crazy, or completely off-base.
So somehow, somewhere along the way, I gather, the establishment has confirmed the link between varied childhood immunizations and development of autistic behaviors? And now, I presume, the establishment naysayers have moved on attempting to discredit successes in curing this curable disease/disorder?
How is it possible, conscionable even, then, that Alex Plank, autistic founder of wrongplanet.net would be angered and distraught enough at the very announcement to write Toni Braxton's Son Was Not Cured of Autism and It's Irresponsible of Her To Say So. Sir- dare I say you and the overwhelming majority of the 87 comments on your post would rather remain in the dark, just the way the establishment designed? Perhaps the basis of the from-the-hip "discussion" is rooted in an inability to accept the science that diseases are curable when adequate funding drives research to do root cause analysis and cause/origin determination with the same vigor currently only afforded funding research for toxic pharmaceuticals that invariably only suppress symptoms of diseases?
Mr. Plank, could it be possible, sir, that so many others, like Helen's son Tom-Autism: How Diet Cured My Son
or Hannah-Hannah's Story: 2 Years on GAPS Diet Reverses Autism are also somewhere out in left field, on say, the wrongplanet, as well?
Perhaps even the dissension among the ranks of over 500 different autism advocacy and awareness organizations, groups, professionals, and media outlets creates confusion...Autism Speaks actually having changed its mission statement to one reflecting the abandonment of looking for a cure while ABA (applied behavioral analysis) is considered harmful by many who have received the therapy and several other controversies and contradictions.
The discussion of patient intervariability only adds another stone to the pile of controversy.
There is one thing for sure, however, and it does not represent any level of irresponsibility as you termed it Mr. Plank.
